Topman Denim Jacket project
For spring-summer 2012 Topman has invited “of-the-moment” talented European designers to update one of the most iconic piece of men’s wardrobe that is the denim jacket. Each creator revisited a denim jacket its way based on all of the classic styles it has been declined over the years.
Amongst all seven jackets released, Mark McNairy is the only to bring us a raw jacket. It is very destructured as if two different jackets, a classic trucker and an old school Wrangler, were mixed together.
Our second mention goes for Oliver Spencer’s biker jacket. He is another designer we usually follow with interest, and this time again he left us up to expectations with an inovative navy asymetrical biker jacket.
Something would have to be said about any jacket from this collection, but I we had to pick a third one it would be this sherpa trucker jacket. On this classic style, Katie Eary, Royal College of Art graduate, proposes a very faded denim featuring a removeable fleece collar and a pink leopard lining.
Again, each jacket has its particularity, Topman wih its “Design” line, Shaun Samson and Lou Dalton complete the line up of this limited denim jacket series. No need to tell how quick stocks are going to sell out, so if you have any decision to make, make it quickly!
More info about the Denim Jacket Project on Topman’s dedicated page. To shop the collection, jackets are £70 at Topman.
