The Parisian Kid
Even when you live in Paris, playing the tourist around Trocadero square, in front of the Tour Eiffel has something heady. Mingling with the crowd just for a few minutes, feeling like you don’t live here, rediscovering things you walk past every morning with different eyes is a good experience. In the evening, lights are giving the city something special, so we enjoyed the moment to go for like tourists waiting for the Tour Eiffel to set alight, sourrounded by hawkers. Dressed like a real Parisian Kid – oversized jacket, suspenders, rolled up jeans – I took a stroll at the most popular esplanade in the world.
Those rounded glasses, a white shirt and some striped suspenders are giving me the timeless Parisian student look, just coming straight from a philosophy class at the Sorbonne. Or a rascally look ready to animate to streets of Paris, ready to overthrow the July Monarchy.
These trousers-like jeans – with sober tone on tone stitching, matte black button, no rivets – deserve to be worn without a belt. SLightly rolled up, the jeans botton perfectly match these ballet-inspired derbies.
