Like in any vintage store, Yoox is the kind of shop which has frequent new arrivals. Still like in a frippery, availabilites are often limited to few sizes, even only one for some specific pieces. Last week was is stock this camouflage denim jacket from Polo jeans, my exact size. This is the kind of item you won’t have the occasion to meet twice, definitely! Well, I cogitated a lot to much and now the jacket is gone. What a disappointment to think that such an occasion won’t happen again! That was all about telling you that it is better leaving your compulsive side taking the upper hand when you feel this is a unique shopping situation. Anyway if one of you Truckers happen to see one similar camo trucker jacket, just left me a note through our contact form (I have already searched to google page 14).

Long time no talk (I have been quite busy with the French sales these times)! Third item I have bought during the winter sales is this crewneck knit from Norse Projects. What’s cool with Yoox is: they always propose nice stuff you have missed from past seasons. The only trick is to dig the site, searching regurlarly from brands you like, and Norse Projects is one of them.

This 100% heavy wool made crewneck is woven in Italy and it features a “Nordic” pattern. It actually comes from their AW10 collection. I was looking for a light color to contrast with the rest of my outfit. The sweater’s white color suits this description and its navy pattern is echoed on my Bleu de Paname trousers. Thick and stylish, now you can guess how happy I am.

People looking for timeless items at discounted prices should always visit Yoox. This time I was looking for a pair of dark jeans for the season, and I surpisingly came across April 77, one of our favourite French brands. Yoox is often a place where you have unexpected encounters, that’s why this website is cool. April 77 is a very rock influenced brand, then all of their jeans are very skinny. I can assure the cut is perfect, and the jeans feature a sober patch on the rear right pocket, plus a guitar plectrum on the classic coin pocket. One never knows if an unexpected concert has to be played…

Along with the bow tie, braces are the most underestimated sartorial accessory nowadays. If we should classify them in a category, they could be halfway between the grandpa’s old-fashioned accessory and the preppy one. I would recommend you to try to use braces according to the latter option. Actually, a bad taste combination can happen so easily, then prefer some plain shirts and darker trousers with those striped braces. But never dare matching them with a pair of sneakers… one can’t argue with elegance.

Some of you certainly can’t afford a pair of Common Projects of Lanvin sneakers. Here is my alternative to with those from Doucal’s. The italian shoesmaker offer us some soberly designed shoes, mixing a suede body and a leather cap toe, with their usual great care to coating and materials. Lots of colorways are available, I’d pick them in white according to the season.

I sometimes feel myself being in a big vintage store while surfing on Yoox. What gave me this impression is this cardigan from Stussy. I don’t know if the dummy is part of this retro effect, or maybe the piece’s cut, but I’m sure the colors have to with all this. In addition to having nice original colors, the piece also surprisingly look well fitted. I guess it would match any of your preppy outfit. Finally, don’t put your trust in a first glance, and Yoox worth a deep dig, there’s a lot of good finds there!

Check what I’ve found from Yoox! This jacket from Hacket looks so nice. I can’t explain what makes me so enthusiastic about it. I guess those contrasting buttons has something to do with it, and so the color has. A casual look would be appropiate for it : chinos, preppy accessories and lightblue shirt. So fresh for this upcomming season as for the current one.

I feel that preppy accessories are being more and more fashionable these times. Careful to match those quirky items correctly beacause they easily turn your outfit into something tasteless. My choice goes for a “not least” Woolrich Woolen Mills tie. Excentrism could best describe it. The gringham pattern confirms what I was first saying, then prefer wearing it with sober clothes.

Yoox is definitely the price slasher of the internet. Proof of this being the continuous massive discound findable there. A perfect example is those Alife sneakers 50% off. This model called the Everybody is a classic from them. It’s leather made and features an off-beat yellow stipe.

“BBC” always make particular clothes, as witness this beanie. The association of different patterns and colors here may look charming. I’m conscious that’s not everyone’s cup of tea but if would look great for all the brand’s lovers. A bit expensive but so quirky.
