The small cutaway collar, just like on this Filippa K shirt has made its comeback since few seasons with a minimalist, skimpy view of fashion: slim ties, fine lapels, slim fitted trousers… (a rebith of the 1960s Mods trend). Such a small collar often matches slim ties, even if some people dare doing every button up to the throat, without any tie (this is called “air tie”). Be careful, small collars won’t greately match long necks or wide faces.

The smocking shirt has almost dissapeared of collections, “black tie” night are getting increasingly rare in our era. German clothes are on a roll and Saint Noir is probably one of their best standard bearer. Based on a project created in 2010, Saint Noir is a new label launched in Berlin by two friends : Matt and Tom. Highly passionate about design, music, art and fashion, the two of them naturally pictured their first t-shirt collection. They made a point of offering original and handmade products which make them unique and so special. Their first three t-shirts look awesome but I truly love the « Music or die » one. It is 100% made by hand – with supporting evidence on YouTube – and easy to match with a black cardigan. Now all you’ve got to do is give ground to the rockstar in you.

We have to go back in the late 90′s to understand Svensson’s origins. They created a collective about photo, graphism and journalism in Malmö, Sweden. The shop was launched in 2005, mixing art gallery and clothing, and giving birth to their own jeans brand. Today, here’s is an occasion to present their version of a German Army Trainer. Those sneakers are presented like inspired from other designers such as Common Projects or Maison Martin Margiela, with a Svensson touch : soft leather, suede details and a welted ‘sailor’ sole. Render is quite appealing and quality is certainly excellent, I want my pair!

What I like to do about New Era hats is to find some that I’ll be the only one to wear. You guys in the US are very lucky! You’ve got plenty of New Era brands regularly releasing limited editions. This is the case for Hall of Fame, which released this cap in collaboration with the skateboard/streetwear brand Huf a few weeks ago. I’m sure about one thing, you’ll never bump into someone wearing the same hat as yours with it. New Era’s lovers are definitely gonnna try to steal it from you! (so keep yourself on your guards!!!)
