Aussiebum Banana Brief

by Yas the Super Fly in Selected (on March 8, 2010)

aussiebum-banane

After the Adidas sneakers special Brazil, I could not keep myself from presenting you this brief. Simply called Banana Brief, it is made from the bark’s weave of the Banana plant and soft organic cotton. Besides being comfortable and sexy, it is eco friendly :) It would completely fit with the Adidas sneakers (below), a simple white polo and jeans (low cut so we can see the brief’s green strip). Just don’t hide it, show it: Aussibum ;)

Aussiebum Valentines Brief

by Yas the Super Fly in Selected (on February 3, 2010)

Hey guys, Valentine’s Day is coming soon and I’m sure you’ve already prepared a whole romantic night for your lover – if not you better start thinking about it ^^

Nice dinner (made by you), candles (new ones, not the ones from x-mas), faded lights, background music (not too loud) and here you go, she/he’s all yours!

aussiebum-randy

But be careful, don’t take her/him for granted already (never…remember Beyonce). You also need to think about the lovey-dovey touchy-feely part, if you know what I mean ;) So don’t miss your chance to be dressed to kill. And here I come with my topic:

I spotted a funny yet sexy brief for you folks, all in red with naughty prints (two rabbits fooling around). AussieBum created it especially for Valentine’s Day. It is also available in boxer and in various colors, but I would personally go for the red brief ;)

aussiebum-randy-2

It is the best way to show your sense of humor and make her/him smile. And as we say, a smile is the shortest distance between two people. So do some push-ups for 10 seconds (to show off your muscles), wear this brief, and be ready to go. If you’re not in shape, no worries, keep the faded lights ;)

Core-point

by Joe the "tire-remover" in Brands (on October 6, 2008)

Fed up of wearing the same bobbly and faded underwear for the last 15 years? Well here are some new ideas to brighten up your wardrobe (and your nights). French Truckers’ underwear selections are back!

Core-point underwear

And today’s winner is the young brand Core-Point created in 2006 by a group of French designers based in Hong Kong. Claiming to be part of “street culture”, the brand offers bold prints. Core-Point underwear is designed to be seen! On this point: note that there are 2 options:

  • You could show the waistband over a pair of skinny low-waisted jeans. And if the pants (and the guy in them) are well chosen, it can look quite sexy.
  • You could show half your pants under a pair of baggy jeans hanging halfway down your ass. And whatever boxers you choose, it looks plain stupid (who started this stupid fashion? It was already old hat when it started, and now…)

The style I’ve chosen to illustrate this subject is the Prowler with black eyes on a white background and a loud belt! It is 95% cotton and 5% elasthane.

C-IN2

by Joe the "tire-remover" in Brands (on August 13, 2008)

C-In2 is an American underwear brand. Its creator, Gregory Sovell, also behind the brand 2(x)ist, revolutionized the market by constantly reinventing underwear from a design and technical viewpoint for the last 10 years.

Inspired by dancers, who use similar tricks, he invented the “Sling support” which ensures better support, and enhances the man’s shape. And because a picture paints a thousand words, here is a diagram to help you understand the idea:

C-In2 Sling Support

C-In2 make high-tech and sexy styles, like this low-rise style with invisible seams from the “Pop color” range (see below). And for a reasonable price, too: $23,50 from Amazon

N.B. For my last selection, I mentioned a similar principle from Udy. To discover or rediscover: all of our men’s underwear selections. (Coming soon: an article about Core-Point)

Udy Collection

by Joe the "tire-remover" in Brands (on July 7, 2008)

Udy is an underwear brand established in the 50s in Spain. Ricardo Miguel Udi, its founder, began creating creating and selling underwear in Navarre (see here for more info).

Since then, the company has been based in Madrid, and the brand was renamed Udy Collection in the 90s. All their products are designed and manufactured in Spain!

My favorite: the Wonderman in blue (as you can see from these sunglasses, I’m really into blue at the moment). The contrasting white waistband and trim is almost a classic now! But it is nice.

They are made of cotton and elastane (really soft and comfy) and have a little pocket on the inside. If you’ve not seen one before: it boosts your assets, giving you a confident bulge! It’s a bit like a wonderbra for men :)

Pull-in + Stereo Panda

by Joe the "tire-remover" in Selected (on February 29, 2008)

Here are 2 new brands that I haven’t mentioned for a long time: Pull-in and Stereo Panda. Here’s some news concerning both of them: they’re launching a co-branded line of underwear. You can see the unique elements of both brands in these styles available in cotton and lycra.

They’re available from the Pull-in concept stores in Paris, Hossegor, Aix en Provence and New York (see list of dealers). You’ll also find them in Stereo Panda partner stores like Citadium. They cost €35 for the black cotton style and €45 for the white lycra. -I’d like to see them close up to examine the quality though, as €35/45 seems a
little expensive…

Burberry boxers

by Joe the "tire-remover" in Selected (on November 21, 2007)

burberry-boxers

Get the idea that Burberry is for chavs out of your head immediately. Yes! Across the globe, Burberry is a luxury brand, and these boxers use their classic brit check pattern with their logo on the waistband. So they aren’t pants at all! Slight problem: where to find them. They appear on the US site (which doesn’t deliver to the UK) but don’t appear on the UK site at all. Might be worth taking at look at their Manchester store on New Cathedral Street or in London on New Bond Street. Has anyone been to either recently? And if I get the chance, I’ll let you know!

Damien Traille for CarBO underwear

by Joe the "tire-remover" in Selected (on September 24, 2007)

damien-traille-carbo

Do you know the Carbonneau brothers?

They’re called Philippe and Olivier, and are former Toulouse and International rugby players.

Well, they’ve just launched their own brand of men’s underwear: carBO underwear! With 13 World-Cup-themed styles. With Damien Traille as their ‘face’ (photos by Eric-B Vaudon). The material: polyamide elasthane was chosen for it’s properties (softness, breathability, lightness, flexibility and support).
