We’re going to kick off the new season with a discovery: Boëge. If you’ve been dreaming of a high-quality polo shirt or t-shirt, with fresh design, in a choice of colours, you’re going to love this brand!
The cotton used is really top quality! If you’re in Paris, I strongly recommend you go and have a look for yourself. The design marries simplicity and originality perfectly, and the styles are offered in a wide range of colours.
The brand is currently only available in Japan (from Isetan in Tokyo), in the United States (from H.Lorenzo in Los Angeles) and in France (from 66 and Galeries Lafayette Homme). The first few items have just arrived! Could Boëge be a new favourite for spring/summer 2008?
RRP for the polo shirt: €140/ More info on www.boegepolos.com

This is a polo shirt. A Ralph Lauren polo shirt. There you go… -Dear oh dear, I can tell that today’s going to be a difficult one. My head’s a bit fuzzy today (but what an evening! Hello to all! )
$79,99 from Ralph Lauren

Let’s kick off this week dedicated to fashion and rugby with an emblematic brand: Eden Park. It takes its name from the ground in Auckland in New Zealand where the first World Cup final match was played! A game where the All Blacks beat France… (Score: 29-9). The brand with the pink bow tie was created in 1987 by 5 former French Racing club players is 20 years old this year. You will see above the "France-England Team" style that should bring a glow to your cheeks. I’m still not quite over France’s performance…

Superdry is an English brand that make vintage-inspired polo shirts. You can find them in certain stores and on certain sites such as Adventice, ASOS and Cult.

At the end of June, there was a sale on Vente-privee.com. I took advantage of it to order 2 polo shirts, that I received today!
Great stuff, well cut, nice colours, job’s a good’un!
If you missed this sale, you should know that you can find them from time to time on eBay. And in particular the style shown above.

And now for another polo shirt suggestion! After the pink Gas Jeans polo shirt, here’s a brown stripy one from Original Penguin. It’s made of pure cotton jersey. I love the retro style and the colour harmony. Has anyone p-p-p-picked up a Penguin?
€83 on La Redoute
This is the second half of my report on my field trip to Dress-for-less where I also saw this polo shirt. Polo shirts are in fashion, and all the more so given the bright colour! What more could you possibly want? Some trousers to go with it? What about last week’swhite trousers for example
€25.90 from Dress-for-less
This polo shirt is nice! I like the red colour (makes a change), the design (that I can’t quite find words for), and in particular the use of the braces. Now, obviously these ones, with the single strap at the back and the buttons, are quite unusual , but you can always draw inspiration from it and make your own outfit…

WESC side! WESC (We are the Superlative Conspiracy) or WE is a Swedish brand, established in 1999. Inspired by the skating and streetwear scenes, it made a name for itself by sponsoring certain underground Swedish artists and musicians. I’ll spare you the names as I suppose, like myself, you don’t know much about Swedish artists and musicians, especially underground ones… (And no, Abba don’t count!). Anyway, they make polo shirts, including this one, which I think is pretty smart. Black coffee colour please! (No sugar, thanks…)
