I popped into Tonitruand (Paris 6th district) and spotted new styles of Paul Smith shoes that I rather like: boots (-my passion!) and a pair of derbies.

The boots, in lizard-print leather, are called Tony, can be found on the Paul Smith site and are available for €300 from Tonitruand.

My other favourite style is the Taylors, also on www.paulsmith.co.uk, but I like the grey/pink laces version as shown below.

You will also see they do a black style with blue laces. Available from Tonitruand for €240.
I know that you’re going to say that watches with metal straps are commonplace. Well, I hope you will agree that some of the watches I will show you in the follow-up to this article are a little out of the ordinary!

So let’s see them. From left to right:
The unusual thing here is not so much the straps as the faces. Note however, by pure chance, none of these watches have a strap with links, and they’re all fairly similar.
If you are interested: have a look at this site which shows the different types of metal straps available.
