Move away from usual grandma wool sweaters and prefer the Henri Lloyd cardigan. It is made from a fine lambswool blend and finished in a precise cable knit. The full-zip on the front is really practical if you have to switch often between warm and cold temperatures during Winter.  The finish seems quite convincing. I am also a big fan of the rounded collar and its British inspiration.

They’re well known for their basics and their premium quality, and American Apparel offer a wide range of products, from t-shirts to jeans, ladies’ tights and mens’ underwear. They offer a wide choice of quality stuff. Another unique point, not to be scoffed at either, is that all their products are made and produced in Los Angeles. A little slice of American class! As recognition of this, each garment is labelled “Made in downtown Los Angeles”!

As for their hoodies, there’s nothing too unusual, they’re a little thin, they’re neither too bling or too cheap looking, with a good balance of the subtle and the simple, using block colours and well-finished styles. Ok, I have made my decision, today I am going to talk to about Levi’s! It is a mini-event, because this is the first time in three years! It is perhaps a tad exaggerated, at least Levi’s was mentionned in some articles like the “which model of jeans?” matter published on Comme un Camion.

Actually, it is not that I am boycotting Levi’s, but through the years, we can say we have concentrated more on other denim brands. In a point that my last pair of Levi’s dates back to my college days…

Since then, the most famous American brand has released several collections: Blue tab, Engineered, Made & Crafted, Red Tab, Vintage… Today, you can find many different and contemporary new styles such as the Levi’s 504, a semi slim, tapered cut shown above! Note that the full slim also exists, the Levi’s 511.

This tapered version is actually declined from the original 504 which was straight. Its cut is just perfect for any use. Here, on the contrary of what we could believe, these are not raw but their wash is quite similar with a dark blue rinsed denim, then it will never change even after many washes. What is the most appealing on them remains the pockets’ stitchings, quirkier than usual. Such a great cut, just go to your nearest Levi’s store and try them on!

Get the idea that Burberry is for chavs out of your head immediately. Yes! Across the globe, Burberry is a luxury brand, and these boxers use their classic brit check pattern with their logo on the waistband. So they aren’t pants at all! Slight problem: where to find them. They appear on the US site (which doesn’t deliver to the UK) but don’t appear on the UK site at all. Might be worth taking at look at their Manchester store on New Cathedral Street or in London on New Bond Street. Has anyone been to either recently? And if I get the chance, I’ll let you know!
