And we’re back to one of our hot topics of the moment: waxed
jeans. In their new collection, Diesel also offer a waxed style: the Keever. A very nice pair of regular slim cut jeans that’s one of their “top-of-the-range” styles. An area that Diesel should
maybe offer more styles in to prove their jeans know-how.
€250 from Diesel Store and their other stores.

I’m making the most of the opportunity to show you something else that’s new: the spring-summer 2008 Saxedo. It’s still black, still slim-fit
(semi-slim -ed), but they’ve added a strip of braid down each leg, which looks extremely smart!
It goes for €140, and it would seem a victim of its own success.

As some of you may have guessed, following the announcement of our special series on waxed jeans, the cheapest pair in our selection is from LTB (RRP €69.95). And those who’ve seen them close up will agree: they are pretty good for the price!
I’ve done a bit of research… The brand was established in Istanbul en Turkey. It was originally called “Litte big” and it then became “LTB by Little big” (see their site). I recommend you have a look at the presentation of their next collection (Autumn-Winter 2008). More styles to follow…
They’ve been called waterproof, waxed or lacquered, they’re shiny and feel as if they’ve been painted.
They first appeared over a year ago from Dior (glitter-effect jeans for more than €300) and Notify jeans (proofed jeans in black or blue for more than €200), and this year they appear in pretty much every 2008 spring/summer collection: Diesel, Firetrap, G-Star, Junk Jeans, Kaporal, Kohzo, Le Temps des Cerises, Lee Jeans, LTB, National Liberty, Nudie Jeans, Pepe Jeans, Supernature, Wrangler etc.
So they’re now more widely available at more affordable prices (from €65)! Over the next few weeks, I will show you new styles (brands, cuts, finishes, prices and stores). And, of course, wax lyrical about them :).
Ok, I’ve made my decision, today I’m going to talk to you about Levi’s! It’s a mini-event, because in three years it’s the first time! Well, at least in the articles, because I had mentioned it in a section on the French site, called which jeans?
Now, it’s not that I’m boycotting Levi’s, but through the years, I’ve concentrated more on other brands of jeans. So much so that my last pair of Levi’s dates back to my college days…
Since then, it’s worth noting that Levi’s offer several collections: Vintage, Engineered, Blue, Red Tab (it’s actually very well explained on this French site). There are many different, more modern, styles such as the Levi’s 504, a semi slim, shown above! Note the the full slim style exists too, the Levi’s 511!

Do you know American Apparel’s t-shirts? But did you know that AA also do jeans? Launched at the end of last year with the name “The Slim Slack“, this debut jeans collection is like the other products from the brand: brightly-coloured, affordable and ethical. These slim jeans are available in black, grey, white, but also in blue, violet, mustard or bright yellow! And one important point about this collection: these jeans are unisex!
€69 from American Apparel
I’m on the lookout for a new pair of jeans at the moment. A pair of raw jeans to wear with leather shoes. Probably des boots

Created in 1991 in Osaka (for those of you who weren’t paying attention in Geography class, it’s in Japan) the brand with the seagull draws inspiration by vintage American jeans from the 50’s. They’re handsome, they’re stylish and they’re expensive! That’s fashion for you.
