For once, let us dare something a bit more colored than usual for our bottom. I have found the expected piece from B-Store, with a sober green color that you could certainly match in your casual or preppy outfits. Going for B Store would always be a safe bet in term of cut, quality and style. In this present case, I was looking for some slim fit chinos with an adapted color for the winter. Already owning some of their trousers makes me think that I won’t be disapointed with these ones.

I was not convinced by quilted jackets since they came back into the light this season. I don’t know how, little by little, they’re managing to make me change sides. Actually, quilted offers an excentric vintage touch that can make you look quirky. Lavenham appears to be the king of quilted, which is finally a technique to get this wadded texture. They started making quilted jackets since 1972 for horse-riders. Nowadays the use has partly changed, turning into an eccentric piece of men’s wardrobes.

It has been a long time since we have not talked about A.P.C. And you havee probably already checked the whole new collection out. Just let me have a word about this shirt, which is one of my favourite piece from their autumn-winter 2010 collection. You may object it is another check shirt among millions. I don’t think so, let me explain why. We have got some elements here leading us to say it is not a “coarse” check shirt : regular pattern, tastefully chosen colors, smart button-down collar, anyway, “the usual high A.P.C. high standard finish“.

Check shirts trend is on the skids. The only thing that you still can do is trying to find the most tastefully colored one. It seems Sotch & Soda have chosen colors nicely here, considering the last “niche” of the pattern : workwear (although checks are timeless). We’ve got here some purple mixed with a “forest green” color, all contrasted by some white and yellow lines : totally wearable!
