Electric for Men

Electric Detroit Sunglasses

by Romano from Marseille in Themes (on June 21, 2010)

Let’s talk about an accessorie, those sunglasses for example. Sunglasses are THE item that will make the difference on your surfer beachwear outfit. This model from Electric reminds an old pair of wayfarers, but adds a touch of modernity thanks to its funky colours. The fact that I’ve chosen some green ones is really unexpected :) Well, you can enjoy a lot of discounts on them on eBay and each colour is available, just prefer the green ones to match all the items we have talked about today.

Electric Hoodlum

by Romano from Marseille in Selected (on June 17, 2010)

Released last year, the Electric Hoodlum is the perfect alliance of modernity, vintage and soberness. Being myself a proud owner of these, Il would definitely recommend them ! What do I like about the Electric Hoodlum? Their 70’s rock’n'roll style perfectly match with any clothes. Already available in multiple colours, Electric releases plenty of limited style for the Hoodlum Acetate Color series this season (It reaches now a number of approximatively twenty different colours). Then the chances to bump into someone wearing the same sunglasses as you are really poor :)

You can find it from Blue-tomato and it’s 84,95€

Electric Sunglasses

Electric sunglasses

This is the latest in our selection of sunglasses, and today we’re looking at Electric. Based in San Clemente, in California, the brand was created by Greg Arnette, but became know in its current form by Kip Arnette (his son) who took it over in 2000 in association with Bruce Beach.

Like all good Californians, the 2 partners are fans of board sports, and the brand is firmly rooted in the milieu. As is often the case, they sponsor several sports stars such as Bam Margerra, the skater from Jackass, and Ozzie Wright, the professional surfer.

Electric has just launched a wicked new style called the “Detroit”. The shape is inspired by Ray Ban Wayfarers or Oakley Frogskins. But these have an Electric twist, with a larger shape and far-out colours (black, white, yellow, violet and red)

These sunglasses are made in Italy from Grilamid (a new generation of plastics that are unbreakable, and survive extreme conditions without warping), and offer 100% UVA, UVB and UVC protection (the full monty!)

You’ll probably have a bit of trouble finding them in France even though the brand currently has offices at Hossegor.

They are now available from Ragdoll, a shop and site in Anglet, in the Basque country, who offer them for €77. Thanks to Anselme for the info!
