Universal Works Jacket

by Romano from Marseille in Selected (on August 23, 2010)

Check out this nice Zipped jacket recently released on Kiosk78 e-shop. We’ve already talked about Universal Works, remember the article about their original waistcoat? This piece is also very original. You can notice the navy chest pocket wich is unusual for this type of product. Then add a vintage touch with those elbow patches, and you’ve got a very nice and original jacket for mid season times (50% coton, 50% polyester)

Diesel Zathan Jeans

by Romano from Marseille in Selected (on August 22, 2010)

I guess some of you were thinking bootcut jeans had given up the ghost since the 70’s. Well actually not, jeaners are still releasing some nice pieces. Here is a good example with the Diesel mythical model, the Zathan. What makes them so good? Their lightblue fading of course. Add to this the certain quality of Diesel, then you have this nice pair of jeans for the summer as for mid seasons. One last notice, they’re really cheap…

Insight Denim Shirt

by Romano from Marseille in Selected (on August 18, 2010)

I was looking for myself a nice denim shirt which was not a Levi’s one and I came across this one. I confess that I did not expect such a beautiful one from Insight which isn’t told to make denims. Concede me guys that you’re surpised about it render… just great! Those hexagonal snap buttondowns and chest are making it really original. Ok… I think I’m gonna go for it right away :)

Clae Kennedy

by Romano from Marseille in Selected (on August 16, 2010)

Clae has released new colors for their model named Kennedy. You can notice on the picture above the special material of this pair of sneakers : denim. I really like the contrast created by this mustard sole, those two colors really matches together. You certainly have a doubt about how to wear denim shoes in general. I guess you can match them with any shorts or chinos, the ideal would be beige colored.

Double Wing Deck Shoes

by Romano from Marseille in Selected (on August 3, 2010)

I found those particular deck shoes on Oki-ni website from a Spanish footwear brand named Koyuk. These shoes are resulting a collab with Hobo, a leather brand. They look like a kind of espadrilles mixed with some deck shoes. If you dare wearing them, careful to match it with some tastes. For example: some smart shorts with a polo.

You certainly already know it, nevertheless let me introduce you this classic denim shirt by Levi’s. Embodying the vintage culture, it’s been a few month that it’s returning in today’s trend. Representing the modern cowboy style, this shirt is strongly washed-ou highlighting the vintage effect.

Diesel High Top Sneakers

by Yas the Super Fly in Selected (on July 28, 2010)

I just bought some nice sneakers from Diesel last week. I’ve never seen them before, but I think they have been launched a while ago :) Anyway, you should check them as they are really cool. Diesel oblige, they are made in denim and would be a great choice if you don’t want to buy the converse ;) I especially like the little pocket on the side which makes the footwear original and trendy. I personally matched them with some waxed dark blue pants and a simple top from Zara. The contrast with the Diesel kicks that are more casual is awesome :))

Surface to Air Jeans

by Romano from Marseille in Selected (on July 27, 2010)

Washed-out jeans has given up the ghost, so you have to find a pair of raw jeans by these times. They are totally in the trend this season as for the upcoming one. Do you know about Surface to air? It’s a french brand which style is strongly influenced by arts and music. They’re making very nice raw denims as you can see on the picture above. These ones’ cut is straigh fitted, and their price is reasonable.

Vans Trainers

by Romano from Marseille in Selected (on July 26, 2010)

Here are some cool trainers for the summer. Those ones suit either for skaters and for casual styles. They are both canvas and suede made and their blue bicolor looks perfect for the season. I think they would match perfectly with any jeans of shorts.

Adidas Adi Tennis

by Romano from Marseille in Selected (on July 21, 2010)

Fed up with your old pair of Converse? Here are some Adidas which are similarly shaped. I think those ones offer a good alternative adding a touch of coolness. Well, no other shoes can replace the mythical All-Star I’ll give you that! But check out those beautiful Adi Tennis. Moreover they’re in nylon and a low version exists too (but I’d choose the hi model). Actually they seem ideal for the summer. As I’m a blue addict, I would go for this color but knows that two more choices are available.
