Super Poissons sunglasses
Based on the same concept Super previously launched with its autumn-winter 2011 “Panama” collection, or for the collabs with Alife and Liberty, the Italian sunglasses brand releases its spring-summer 2012 collection called “Visiva” (visual in Italian) presenting us two printed acetate models. The series’ name is “Poissons” (fish in French), guess what does the inner print looks like…
The first customized style is the América with a Wayfarer shape, a timeless design reminding of the 50′s America. The frames are acetate made and colored in “Dark Havana” rendering black with brown marks. For your information, prints are inspired from Louis Renard’s creations, a specialist in marine creatures illustrations from the 1700′s.
The second available pair is the “Paloma”, with a rounded “Johnny Deep style” shape. The inside of the frames is still printed with a “Poissons” pattern and made with amber crystal acetata which lighter than the América’s one. Both are handmade in Italy. They feature some quality dark “tobacco” lenses, and they are coming with their similarly patterned box. To say the least, all this give a fresh look to some classical shapes… I really can’t wait for the following SS12 glasses!
The América and the Paloma are available on Super e-shop for €150.

These are so fantastic! I love the little details like the inner print. The Poisson wayfarer style is just unique enough to be fresh, but it is still classic. I saw some other wayfarers from Parkes Kent- http://www.parkeskent.com/sunglasses.html that were Ralph Lauren with some wonderful green detailing.
