It has been two years and a half that we try to publish every week photo series to feed our “looks” category. Our guidelines are simple: infsofar as possible, each one of us try to show his way to dress everyday or for special occasions. The inspirations are varied as we try to put our twist on every piece from the classic men’s wardrobe: coats, trousers, shoes, suits… Very nice of us, but here’s the thing: the-others-are-always-entitled-to-wear-suits! And I am not.
I can accept that from Joe, he’s given himself privileges, he is the boss after all! As for Tony, he may have a certain seniority status (he writes for French Truckers since 2007), but this is no reason to blow hard, to parade in some fancy Parisian hotels just to make me jealous! Here he is, drinking some Expresso chic, arranging rendez-vous with some pretty girls, playing the mister-handsome-guy on photos! The last one is the worst, Max, hell of a folk! He had only got on our truck for few weeks and he quickly posed in his Sunday Best. This was the final straw! It is my turn now to get shot in a suit, oh-yes-sir!
It you have to wear a suit, you might as well do it thouroughtly: this beautiful ready-to-wear suit from Ly Adams, a formal shirt and my nicest pair of Oxford shoes. I am sorry but, I had to mark to occasion for the accessories as well: a self tie bow tie (what a drag!) and a polka dot pocket square. A haircut, a close shave and the “Sublime” suite at the Seven Hotel, Paris. One last read of my style bible to check if I matched the colors properly, and I was ready for all the swaying poses, expressos chics and dates with beautiful girls!
Thanks to Seven Hotel for the Sublime Suite, thanks to Joe and Max for taking the photos.
