Persol Capri edition
The word “Capri” would recall to you: Dolce Vita, clear water creeks, villa overlooking the sea… Persol kind of used all this to create this new pair for spring-summer 2012. It is called Capri edition. Their design is inspired from a mythic villa: Casa Malaparte built in 1937 for Curzio Malaparte, a writer.
Persol’s legendary silver arrow was redesigned for this occasion to recall the house’s shape. The Meflecto (providing flexibility for the arms) curves like the terrace’s low wall.
As for the arms, fine stripes are engraved to their very edge. A way to make us think about the grand straicase leading to the roof, highly playing with lights and shades. In the end, all those features seduces us more and more. In any case the whole editorial staff fell in love with it!
In addition to the basic black and tortoise colorways, Persol also proposes the model in some summer colors: ultramarine blue, eclipse blue and “adventure green”.
Price: 190€. More info at www.persol.com
