The tie origins date back from the 14th century. However, its modern shape was invented in 1924 by Jesse Langsdorf, a man from New-York. We all owe him the existence of this staple accessory. Usually considered as essential for all formal outfits, matching suits to perfection, the tie has always been part of the formal dresscode. Nowadays, many men tend to leave it for some more casual looks, even at work. At the same time it has become slimmer and worn in all occasions.
