Jeans are probably the most important piece of our wardrobe, maybe the item we most often wear. We like talking about this fascinating material with such a big story. From America to Japan, selvedge denim is known as the top quality fabric all over the world with a resurgence these last years. It was just after a faded jeans era. These latter acctually reached their top height during the 1990s through Italian denim brands like Diesel. In some way, this was a revival for denim. Since the mid 2000s, we have entered a new era with the advent of slim fits and raw denim. However, one can’t reduce the jeans market to one shape, still, it is clearly the most common today amongst straights, bootcuts, loose cuts which all enjoyed a past glory. Our era sees new jeaners raising along with “old stagers”: Acne, APC, Cheap Monday, or Nudie are the new kings of slim fitted jeans. For the color, it is only about raw! Destroyed, unnaturally used jeans stepped aside for some more classy and sober. By this way, jeans are now worn at work, to go out or even during week-ends, this is THE men’s everyday wear.
