Adidas was born just after World War II with the split of the “Schuhfabrik Gebrueder Dasler”, created in 1924 by two brothers: Adolf and Rudolf Dassler (classic women story). Rudolf established Puma (1948) and Adolf Adidas (1949). It was named after his nickname “Adi” then put it with his last name syllable “Das”. Despite its European past the brand got in 2006 an exclusivity contract for all NBA gear. Adidas has a strong history, just as the list of their iconic models among which the Stan Smith or the Rod Laver are our favorites.
