Eastpak x Kris Van Assche

Since fall-winter 2011 Eastpak and the Belgian creator Kris Van Assche collaborate to create a full range of bags. The first edition has been very successful, and you don’t change a winning team so they teamed up again for summer 2012.

For this collection again, “KVA” revisits the classic codes that made the Eastpak what it has become today: an icon (or maybe the favourite bags of school playgrounds). In a sophisticated, minimalistic version, Kris Van Assche customizes backpacks, messengers, totes and other bags adding more luxurious details. Then he shares his own universe with paint-dunked bags and many metallic touches.

The collection was presented during the SS12 fashion week (last summer then), it is very urban, tainted in black and white, trendy as practical. Prices goes from €55 to €224. I had unfortunately missed the previous collab… personally, I want my backpack this time! Then I’ll go to:
