On this short stroll, I have put my bet on comfortable chinos which color suits the lichen present on some rocks. A orange color you can sometimge see at the sunset, when the sun is low and is about to dissapear behind the ocean. For the top, a light blue coton veil shirt, ideal for this beautiful season, and a thick navy cotton jacket to face the wind.

Quirky piece of the day: this pair of grey suede derbies on a rubber sole. They look quite massive with their studded sole, though remain amazingly light and comfortable. Swith such and urban style, they turned to be a perfect pair to a perilous in the rocks. I could even walk on water…

Willing to save the energy of my one-day beloved, I’m taking a break to gaze at the beautiful panorama in front of me. The Montjuic hill overlooks the port and the old city, the weather is clement and the outfit suits the circumstance. A light shirt, jeans matching my car and espadrilles enhancing the magical feel and the of this place. I just want this moment to last, I have my bag made of automotive recycled fabric with the necessary to hit the road few more days in my beloved English. Lost in my thoughts, I just hope my MG’s upholstery won’t be converted into a wallet.

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, the time gets me back to reality, hour has come to go back home. The real owner is waiting for her, worried seeing his car leaving with a stranger, even with a “driver” like me. The trip back goes downhill, the sunroof leaves a soft wind going through my hair. I’m almost home, enjoying the few last minutes of this short English break on the Catalan lands.

La plaça Reial, as the Catalan call it, is one of the most touristic places of the city. it was build in 1848, in dedication to king Ferdinand VII and in a wider sense to the Spanish monarchy. Located two steps from the famous Ramblas, it was yesterday frequented by the higher class looking for sun and gastronomy – times are changing. This is the only square in Barcelona with archways under wich I undertook few acrobatics.

The outfit is ideal for Spring: a denim jacket, a t-shirt with a eye-catching-trucker graphic, black jeans and pair of tropical-patterned sneakers. A way I like to dress, no hassle. However be careful to wear those sneakers with fitted jeans, the contrary would look like “crushed” (well, the Vans Era is a bit flattened). Here is my sportswear outfit. This is a jacket I’ve found at the new boutique N°42, Paris, and it perfectly suits the “active” athmosphere of this series. Its colors are bright, and its animal pattern really turns a simple windrunner into a very “strong” and interesting piece. I had kind of a crush on these silver vintage runing sneakers. Not convinced by the running trend? I can assure how essential it was to wear stylish and comfortable shoes to stride across Barcelona back and forth as we did. This pair was the perfect companion for such a journey.

This outfit is a good representation of what you could imagine of the Spanish man. Over the years, fashion in Spain widely inspired from the U.K. So, the club tie which was sign of belonging to a private circle in the past, especially in the UK, is today part of the elegant man’s dresscode for the common culture, especially in Spain. Here, to keep the outfit quite relaxed, it is worn with a denim shrit and red chinos. The corduroy jacket and the derbies add the elegant touch.

Let’s focus on the outfit, which is clearly ideal to chill out during the weekend. Spring is here, so I’ve still covered my neck with a light scarf but as I was wearing a cashemere and wool blend sweater, I thought I could leave my jacket in the closet. As for the sneakers, I’m still betting on high-tops while adding a touch of color.

Just a word about those trousers, basically we could call them premium track pants. Maybe some can find the term overrated, but wait until your try them on. As soon as I put them, I thought wewere going to share a bit of the road together. The fabric is really soft and sturdy and the hybrid, track/chic trousers side is perfectly handled.

Easy to get caught on a breeze this period of the year, so let’s keep the tweed jacket to protect from the Spring cold. The one that leaving you bed-ridden as your friends collect one night stands.

My indicator for Spring is when I can wear shoes barefoot without getting cold feet. What a pleasure. And if I can also wear a “marinière” (breton top), the feeling is like going off on a jaunt to the seaside as I only walked along the Bassin de l’Arsenal (though it may sound like holidays for many). For you don’t need to rush on the Normandie coast to enjoy the wind blowing your hair and the sensation of the sand beyond your feets.
