Bordelais Street Style
This was a blistering summer day, I was just finishing a shopping session at The Graduate Store, in the middle of an afternoon walk in Bordeaux center, when I bumped into a bald photographer at the corner of Rue du Pas Saint-Georges and Rue du Loup. The guy was striding along looking for some “models-for-a-day” for his fashion blog.
He was a modern times hunter, a paparazzo for anonymous poeple who would never get sued for his stolen snapshots. In this summer afternoon it was quite hard for me to pose. Even more with such an unexpected situation. The photographer, called Joe if I may remember, was used to do with “fake” models. He made my part easier to play then.
I any case, that was the reason why he liked to photograph random people in the streets, because of their simplicity and to try to understand them. In some way, the way they dress tells a lot about their own story and reflects their personality which you can’t usually find in magazines’ advertising pictures.
“No need some sophisiticated pics man, try to turn around? Again? Again? Show me your jacket, your bag, your sneakers?”, he said to me squeezing his camera’s trigger. A required signature to allow him publishing pictures of me, thanks, bye.
