Autumn has just started, and you are alrealy starting to feel greyness taking possession of your heart. Let’s have a rainbow touch to cheer us up a bit. I concede that English make great socks, but us French do not have to be ashamed about our proper ones! Then I would like to introduce you to Archiduchesse. It would be impossible for English speakers to pronounce such a brand’s name, so just appreciate its vibracy. It actually comes from a famous French tongue-twister: “Les chaussettes de l’archiduchesse sont-elles sèches ? Archi-sèches !”.
The business started from a simple craving: “I would like to match my Converse sneakers with my socks”. And because they did not find any choice on the internet, Archiduchesse was born. At the beginning, they wanted to create plain socks available in more than 30 colorways . As one goes along, the range was expanded to some more funny products. Those socks are proudly 100% French made. From the dyeing, made in one of the last French dyeworks, to knitting in a family factory founded in 1938 near Limoges.
Archiduchesse socks are not that expensive for such a quality: €6 for the “De ville” and “Bouclette” models, and it falls to €4.50 for the “Soquette” (which is recommended for summer times). Please let the French take care of your feets and they will make them shine.
